Welcome to St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba (SVPHT). Our aim is to offer you the best possible care, from preadmission through to your discharge.

Thank you for choosing St Vincent’s Hospital Toowoomba. We were established in 1922 by the Sisters of Charity and have grown to become the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. It is our mission and absolute privilege to care for your needs.

Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac, rehabilitation and intensive care. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology, radiology and pharmacy are also available on site, and our emergency centre is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Visitor Restrictions

On 2 August 2020, Queensland Health expanded the identified areas listed here as places in Queensland which are potentially at higher risk of COVID-19 transmission. The excluded Local Government areas include:

  • Brisbane City 
  • Ipswich City
  • Logan City
  • Redland City
  • Gold Coast City
  • Scenic Rim

People who reside in any of these areas are not allowed to enter St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba to visit patients in our wards. Exemptions will be made for visitors providing end-of-life care.

Patients are not restricted. People attending outpatient appointment are not restricted, please access via Entrance 2.

This is to protect our vulnerable patients, staff, Visiting Medical Officers and other patients' visitors.

Up to two visitors from non-restricted postcodes can see a patient in hospital during each of the allocated visiting times

2pm - 4pm

6pm - 8pm

Visitors please enter via Entrance 1

Up to two people may remain with a patient and are not restricted to the visitor times if they are:

  • Carers for children under the age of 18
  • Carers for a patient with a disability
  • Partner and/or support person/s when in labour in the birth suite (partners are allowed unlimited access for the duration of the stay)
  • Outpatient care appointments

You may not visit a hospital if:

  • You have been diagnosed with COVID-19
  • You have been asked to self-quarantine
  • You have had contact with a person with COVID-19 or have returned from overseas in the last 14 days
  • You have a fever (37.5 degrees or more) or a cough, runny nose, sore throat or breathing difficulties.
  • You are under the age of 16 (except siblings with one adult visiting the maternity ward, whilst maintaining two visitors per visiting time)

Speak with a nurse if you are providing end-of-life support.
