Speech Pathology Services at St Vincent's are provided by an in-hospital team of speech pathologists. The speech pathology team assess and treat patients whose ability to communicate or swallow has been affected, either temporarily or permanently.
Our speech pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis and management of speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders in infants, children, adolescents and adult inpatients and outpatients. They work collaboratively with physicians (including Ear, Nose and Throat specialists), Queensland X-Ray for modified barium swallow assessments, other allied health teams, nursing staff and families.
Each member of the Speech Pathology team is highly trained and experienced across all areas of Speech Pathology, and endeavour to address your current needs, enhance future capacity and create a better future for you and your family.
The Allied Health Team is located via Entrance 2, Level 1.
