Visiting hours

Visitors are welcome between 8 am and 8 pm.

Relatives may stay with critically ill patients for extended periods.

Please make your arrangements with the nursing staff when visiting outside these hours.

Visiting ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

Visitors are limited to immediate family only and depending on the patient, generally only one or two visitors at any given time. There is an intercom at the ICU door and all visitors are asked to ring through on their arrival so they can be escorted inside. Usual hand sterilisation is required on entry.

Due to the delicate nature of the ICU, staff are permitted to ask visitors to leave at any given time if required.

Staying with children

One parent may stay overnight in a recliner chair with a child up to 15 years of age if required.

Visitor safety

Please don’t use mobile phones near monitoring equipment as they may interfere with our patient systems.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is a smoke-free hospital. Please do not smoke anywhere on site, including the car parks and outdoor areas.
