Visitor Restrictions

Please note the following visitor restrictions to support increased COVID-19 precautions. Every visitor will be asked to wash their hands, pass through the thermographic camera at Entrance 1 to check for fever and outline their reason for visiting the hospital.

  • Each patient may have one visit per day of up to two people
  • Visiting times 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm 
  • All visitors must be 16 years old or above, unless providing a patient with end-of-life support

Up to two people may remain with a patient and are not restricted to the visitor times if they are:

  • Carers for children under the age of 18
  • Carers for a patient with a disability
  • Partner and/or support person/s when in labour in the birth suite
  • Support person for emergency department or outpatient care appointments

More than two visitors are allowed to provide end-of-life support to a patient and are not restricted to the visitor times.

Non-essential deliveries to the hospital including flowers and gift baskets are not permitted.

If you have any of the following flu-like symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Sore throat
  • Shortness of breath

DO NOT enter any hospital building.

Staying with children

One parent may stay overnight in a recliner chair with a child up to 15 years of age if required.

Visitor safety

Please don’t use mobile phones near monitoring equipment as they may interfere with our patient systems.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is a smoke-free hospital. Please do not smoke anywhere on site, including the car parks and outdoor areas.
