Help with Heart

Our advanced ICU is a Vital Link in the chain of survival

Can you HELP with heart - HEMOSPHERE MONITOR

To ensure our ongoing excellence in care we must continue to invest in state-of-the-art equipment. So, for the first time in a long time, we are asking the community for help to purchase a new HemoSphere Advanced Monitoring Platform for our Intensive Care Unit.

The Hemosphere Monitor will be used by our doctors and nurses on adult cardiac patients in the ICU. HemoSphere advanced monitoring platform provides a comprehensive view of tissue oximetry and hemodynamics, giving confidence in knowing that the patient has continuous oxygen saturation and is adequately perfused.

It is vital in the management of:

  • Cardiac/Respiratory
  • Cerebral and tissue desaturation
  • Hypotension
  • Hemodynamic instability
  • Sepsis Management

For each clinical decision moment, HemoSphere advanced monitoring platform enables proactive decision information across a diversity of patient profiles.

  • Past trends - Allows the treating team to select, place and track interventions over time to provide key trending data.
  • Present data - Depicts continuous changes occurring in the patient by delivering visual and numeric parameters.
  • Future insights - Acumen Hypotension Prediction Index software is a first-of-its kind predictive decision support software that detects the likelihood of a patient trending toward a hypotensive event.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba and the wider community would be forever grateful for your philanthropic donation to purchase a HemoSphere Monitor.

The total cost of the montior to purchase is $66,754 and has an expected clinical life of 10 years. Many lives will be positively impacted if we can access this monitor.

We are accepting donations large and small to add this integral equipment to our health care kit.

We’d be delighted to discuss philanthropic opportunities with you and how your support could be recognised.
